The Rural Mission is an initiative of the Colombian Government that is working to define the guidelines for rural development and agricultural policy for the next 20 years. As an adviser to Jose Antonio Ocampo, Andres is in charge of the Mission’s competitiveness strategy. The strategy encompasses a variety of themes, including macroeconomic policy, international trade, provision of public services (science and technology, roads, irrigation, electricity, etc.), credit, etc. Andres supports consultants in the preparation of strategy documents, participates in meetings with policymakers, stakeholders and other experts, and is helping to prepare the final documents of the Mission.
