The Jérôme Lohez 9/11 Scholarship Foundation mourns the loss of Professor Jacques Barzun, who died Oct. 25, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 104.
The Foundation inaugurated and presented the first Jacques Barzun Award for Distinguished Contributions to Trans-Cultural Scholarly Exchange in May 2012, in recognition of Dr. Barzun’s immense contributions to trans-cultural understanding and exchange between the United States and France.
